Cycling In Cinema: Ladri di Biciclette and Pour Un Maillot Jaune

all things bike always start when you learn to ride. you then get to love this new freedom, its not walking, but self-propulsion. eventually you love the new-found freedom and everything that goes with it. then the love of the machine. the fascination of the sum of parts. the craftsmanship and the componentry. who makes what and how it looks. if its chrome plated or polished. painted or powder-coated. when Channel 4 (UK) aired "The Bicycle Thieves" in 1984, the bicycle film enthusiasm was created. next followed "Pour Un Maillot Jaune" and the rest was history.

1960s documentary on the Tour de France, without narration.

Pour Un Maillot Jaune is a documentary described as a cinematic tribute about the 1965 Tour de France. It was made by the French film director, Claude Lelouch. Lelouch is best known as the director of Un Homme et Une Femme (A Man and a Woman in English) in 1966.
